The Path of Self Destruction

I walk alone
through the storm and the dust,
rot, filth, mud clings to me like skin
I walk the path of self destruction.

I walk alone
this path mapped for me,
not a father to a murdered son, nor a husband to a murdered wife
yet I seek vengeance, for I have been wronged.

I walk alone
with the dead and the undead,
i crush their skulls and eat eyeballs to quench my hunger
i long for a heart but that is with the living.

I walk alone
my eyes choke on tears,
a megalomaniacal creep
none is good enough to walk with me.

I walk alone
for I have not found the answers i seek
for each turn promises a new path,
but there is no new path, just the old one.

The path of self destruction.
