An Indian Fights Americana

I try to schedule things,

but here people skedule things.

I tried to switch on the light

but instead it went off.

I went to eat a burger at Burger King,

but they asked me 'forere or togo'.

I wanted to throw the empty coke can on the road,

but the neat roads prevented me.

I was late by one minute to the bus stop,

but the bus had left on time.

I try to keep left while driving,

but here people keep right.

I wanted to drive at a brisk 40km/hr,

but the cop gave me a ticket for slow driving!

I walk around the city to meet some people,

but all I encounter are cars and jeeps.

I wanted to see cricket on TV,

but the closest I got was baseball.

I watched world cup football last month;

but everyone else watched world cup soccer.

I wanted to take an AIWA back home,

but they say it takes only 110V.

I wanted to get a yankee girlfriend,

but they don't even look at you.

I didn't expect to see any desis here,
