Doodh For Tea

Sameeh Sarwar December 6, 2005

Tags: Doodh for Tea

I never bought milk for chai back in pakiland ever. So I am not sure how long paki milk takes to expire. But, in US I end up with milk that is expired in my fridge all the times. Don’t get me wrong, I use milk every morning to chew this thing they call cereal (which suppose to keep me healthy and
energized) and use to make tea here and there but, I still end up with expired milk all the times.

Guys back me up here, one of the things we hate is to go for grocery, and if you didn’t get my point, grocery often include milk as well. For us to buy milk because the one we bought last time (weeks ago) is expired is like most worst thing after working on a day when India paksitan are playing one day match.

I thought about making chai with powder milk and even tried that very pasteurized milk but chai is not a chai unless its doodh patti with cow milk as pure liquid milk.

I also tried restaurants in Houston area but finding Doodh Patti is like searching for snow in Houston. Is it really this hard to bring Doodh Pati chai to our so decent desi restaurants??? I mean when Memon people can still find a way to get paan paraag, cant we find a way to get our beloved Doodh patti chai to any regular desi restaurant??

Other issue is whenever I make chai at home, I ruin the whole stove area. And is it me, or we guys hate to do dishwashing. Just to wash tea pot or cup, I don’t want to go through dishwasher and those things always end up in basin for days.

And how can I forget tea bags. Ever tried that? I am not criticizing the folks who made it, but it can’t even come close to real daanedaar chai patti. So please stop making it. It gives one more reason for our desi restaurants to try making tea that is more tasteless than any coffee there is

So ladies in Houston, help me here. If you know any place that makes Doodh patti chai let me know please. If you want to make one for me, give me a call. Ummm may be not

Hmmm may be its just me being lazy. Anyways back to topic. Who can bring milk from walmart to my apartment, I am just out of it Ummm anyone lives close to galleria??? Hello…?
