href="/tag/Gujarat">Gujarat, India. The number of injured is close to 33,000 and hundreds of thousands have been left homeless. The town of Bhuj was closest to the epicentre and was hit the hardest. In Pakistan, 15 were killed and about 108 injured.

Rescue efforts continue as various organisations and countries offer support and condolences. United Nations has sent a five-member disaster assessment team to India, and various Red Cross organisations are sending medical aid, money and supplies.
