Nowhere

Apr 3, 2005

I search for myself in your eyes, too afraid to glance into the mirror of reality.

Every night I find the stars imprisoned in the very same night sky.

Like a traveler endlessly trudging across this lonely planet.

The life I knew left my doorstep with you and I am left to pour the wine of time into the goblet of age.

Walk with me and it shall culminate in a flash, this endless voyage that I have under taken.

Why not stay here with me and watch the sun set on your sorrows.

If not a function of my yearning, it might be your and the deluge will recede.

The sun rises, as darkness fades. But what of those who eternally stand in waiting?

A dream or actuality? The truth escapes me.

Sorrow screams inside the caves of silence.

Time boils in the vat of anticipation.

Life slips, like sand through clenched fists.
