Tiny Trickles

In silvery skeins, in drizzly showers falls the rain,

Like the rain I want to shed tears of remorse and pain,

Tears of penitence should torrentially drench my face,

The scars of my deadly sins from my heart to efface,

To sweep away the dark spots to the last vestigial stain,

Yes copiously should my tears roll down like the rain.

The rain stops and a rainbow presents a panoramic sight,

And the mad, avid longings deep down, I just cannot fight,

I yearn to glide on the rainbow and reach a dingle, a dale,

And the ghosts of hatred do not dwell in that enchanted vale.

Hey presto, the rainbow goes; through the clouds, sunrays peep,

That reminds me of a sunburst smile, subtle, enigmatic deep,

A smile that can send a heart loop the loop with sheer delight,

To a care-worn, gloomy face that can lend expressions bright,

Wishfully my tears are like anchors, my smiles like strong props,

Like rains and sunshine that impart a message of life to the crops.
