Commander 5 Corps visits DHA projects
KARACHI: The Commander 5 Corps and DHA Executive Board President Lt Gen Shahid Iqbal visited the sites of various DHA projects on Wednesday along with DHA Administrator Brig Khalid Tirmizi.
The Corps Commander, on his visit to DHA Cogen Power and Desalination Plant, was given an update about the progress made so far to make the desalination plant operational. He directed the Defence Cogen Ltd (DCL) to leave no stone unturned in making the desalination plant operational as soon as possible. Gen Shahid said that in view of the ongoing power outages and scarcity of water in the city, it is imperative that the desalination plant starts functioning at the earliest. He was informed that the damaged gas turbine of the plant has already been repaired while the required components of the damaged plant have arrived in Karachi. The Corps Commander directed DCL to ensure necessary mobilization of Siemens experts from Germany to make the plant operational. DCL CEO Nasim Khan said that the desalination plant is expected to start its operations in six weeks time.
Later, the Corps Commander laid the foundation stone of CBC Complaint and Facilitation Centre at the Defence Authority Nisar Shaheed Park in DHA Phase-II. The facilitation centre will ensure speedy and efficient resolution of residents’ civic complaints in the area. He directed CBC and DHA to provide the best possible facilities to its residents and to respond to their problems with a sense of dedication. app

But these young officers laid down their lives for their country;their homeland. The best they could do in the line of duty.
They deserve to be saluted and honoured. They were the mere pawns sacrificied in the larger schemes of the things.

The Tall Ebans don't wear shoes, only sandals or Peshawari chappals!
You're dead wrong about my talent; you've been keeping cobblers company for too long.
Beware, the BOOTS will trample upon your dreams, they always have. Wake up; stop using your drool to polish them.

Don't twist the Quran's ayah in their favour; it is they who've brought all this upon us!
Wake upon!
Wake upon!
