For all you recessionistas furiously justifying your most recent handbag purchase under the cost-per-wear system (cost of the item divided by the number of wears it will get = a nice small figure that you can bribe your bank manager with), calculate this: one lucky shopper at DFW (dubai fashion week) walked away with a dress that has a cost-per-wear of Dh250,000.

Yes: The pure-gold enbroidered henna party dress cost a sweet Dh500,000 and, according to the designer, Beenas, will only be worn twice. When she's done with it, I'm guessing it won't go to Oxfam. More like Dubai Gold Souk.
