Two Mosques and a Fort

Posted: Aug 2, 2003 Sat 02:39 pm     Views: 1767    Interacts: 2

Although now restoration work has started on Lahore Fort and Badshahi Masjid, this is how they were last year, you can see how the fort is almost falling apart. Its important that our heritage is given care and attention. I`m not much of photographer at all, thats why you`ll see lots of white space, or sky, but i wanted to show you guys the condition of the things i saw. The Shah Faisal Masjid can be seen from all over ISB, its totally different from the Badshahi Masjid and seems odd, not really South Asian looking, it is only open at prayer times for people to go in and see the massive hall and pray, i didn`t spend much time there.

Nice pics, Ali. Thanks for informing us a little about the state of ill-repair that some of these fantastic monuments are.
