APATHY RULES OK

Posted: Jan 8, 2005 Sat 07:30 am     Views: 31

May be my thoughts and aspirations are a bit unique. However when I am in the company of fellow Muslims / Pakintanis, they all seem to sing from the same song sheet. They all want to put something back into society and try and particularly help their fellow Muslims in Pakistan. They all talk a brilliant game But when it comes to actually doing something they start back tracking, and come up with numerous excuses.

Refering to my last post............we are being sponsored for THE SPORT FOR LIFE FOUNDATION, by a small group of close friends and relatives. But whenever we approach anyone outside this circle we are met with apathy. To try and get an answer to the reason why this is so, I asked in my last post for any answers to this question. Guess what ? Not one answer or even a response from all you fellow chowkies out there.

A quick reminder to all the Chowkies who like me started their lives in Pakistan and are now resident else where...............just think if we were still there probably ’khota rehreey chootday’ rather than the Mercs BMWsand Porsches we are galavanting around in now. Lets not forget our roots. One thng is for sure, if I was still living in Pakistan my only ambition in life would be to try and get out , by whatever means possible, to the Western world. I think that if you are all honest with yourselves you would aspire to the same.

I make no apology for my thoughts and hope that I have indeed touched a few raw nerves. Perhaps by doing this I have managed to get fellow Chowkies to have a deep look at their inner selves. Maybe some might be motivated to come on board and offer some sort of help to our initiative.

I am absolutely positive that their must be at least some succesful Pakistanis out there in the world who are in a position to help. I just do not know how to get to them. We are doing our best but need more support. So are any like minded people out there???

Hope to hear from you all soon
