It isn’t the 1970s......... Dec. 16, 1971???

“They shouldn’t push us. It isn’t the 1970s when you can hit and run and hide in the mountains. This time you won’t even know what hit you”.

Exactly this type of foul language can be expected from the coward leader of a morally bankrupt army. An army that is more willing to use the latest gunships on its own people rather than on someone else who can actually pay back in the same coin.

From the above statement, it also seems obvious that the General not only thinks that the 70’s action against the Baluchis was justified but also that the army was too soft on the Baluchis in those days. And this time they’re gonna get tough. Alas! the toughness of this army ends at its own people, but dissipates quickly when face to face with an army which they’re actually supposed to fight.

The general is very fond of remembering the 1970s, the decade of bell bottoms, afro hair, Led Zeppelin and Baluchi massacre. But talking of 1971.. hey, isn’t he forgetting a very important date?... December 16, 1971, Ramna Race Course anyone?.....

And what is our army’s fascination with gunships? Apart from may be some coward armies in South America, has anyone ever heard of an army using gunships against its own people?
