My wife, children and I have been going on long drives and listening to good Pakistani music. We bought Fakhir’s Mantra and Rahim Shah’s Pushto CDs from Gerard Street, Toronto. Also dug out some old White Lion, Great White, Queensryche, Scorps cassettes.
While wife wanted to listen to some Pakistani music, children, having little understanding of Urdu, demanded to listen to White Lion. I gave them the lecture on how the band of Michael Tramp vocals), Vito Bratta (Guitar), Jeff Lomenzo (bass) and Greg D’Angelo (drums) had come about and what was it able to accomplish.
Those bands were great. Bura ho in kambakht Nirvana aur Eddy Webber kay Pearl Jam ka who brought in alternative grunge rock in.
To this day I have not stopped cursing at Seattle based music.
