THIS IS A PROTEST

I would like to know what the point is in having a space for an ilog if you cant write what you think. I dont know and I dont care who writes what in their ilog - but unlike the rest of the site this is pretty much the interactor;s page. If you are paying this page a visit then you know what to expect. You dont go to Samina’s page and not expect to see what she’s been reading, you dont go to Izzah’s page and not expect to see an uplifting message, you dont go to Salim’s page and not expect to see his posts for the day and you dont go to Manto’s page and not expect to see Pakistan.

Ergo, if you dont like what an interactor has to say then dont go there. Its that simple.

But to have a space called an ilog and then censor it - especially when we dont even know what words are censored until we get the message - is the outside of enough.

I dont know how others write their ilogs but to me this is a space where I let my fingers do the talking. Its pretty much writing what comes and its usually about my life or the things that matter to me. I understand this is something that Chowk wants to see more of - a kind of year by year record of what was important to a specific group of people at a period in time. But when you have the censorship running amok over your ilog page then you’re basically saying -

"I would like to hear what you have to say but only as long as it fits in."

I understand the logic behind that stream of thought on up and on fp but to have it on what basically amounts to an online journal is ridiculous. If there are people who feel that they are being targetted by certain interactors then give the ilogs a comment box so people can duke it out here.

As I said before - this is supposed to be a private[ish] space and people should have the right to say exactly whats on their mind. otherwise there is no point to this section. You might as well just make this a part of up and take away the thread limit.

So here’s my protest. If any of you really want to read my ilog then pls check my blog. And do let me know what was so objectionable about it. I’d really like to know.
