Your point about Muslims needing education was quite idealistic. Of course they need education, just like they need oxygen, clean water, and decent toilets. In Saudi Arabia they have all that - except water of any type, clean, distilled, or of the fire variety. Don’t forget that almost all of the umpteen 9/11 hijackers were educated and some even had post-graduate degrees, notably Mr. Attaboy who was specializing, of all things, in "town planning." In fact, many of those cowering in the caves near Kohat are also quite educated - with their PCs, satellite phones, and PDAs. What Muslims need more of is tolerance. Tolerance of each other and tolerance of things, people, and customs that may not be in line with Koranic specifications. No amount of lipstick is going to make this sow a beauty contestant. :)
