When I and my husband sat down to watch a Fashion world Update program on CNN IBN, I didn’t quite realize It would turn out to be a very bitter experience. One could only be left with the feeling that TV anchoring is at it’s lowest plane.
No one objects to humorous moments but most often the mis-guided anchors were found to continually interrupt good items with extravagant posturing and grimaces.and if that were not enough grin foolishly as if half ashamed of what they are doing. The present standard of performance shows a disquietening unawareness by many within the channel towards enhancing the state of affairs.
What the Indian anchors trying to appear modern in western dress do not realise is that Western women are used to that kind of dress-it is within their own culture. They have beautiful legs, which most of our girls do not, they know how to walk, sit and stand in the most skimpy of dresses, which our anchors do not.
They do not always have the physical proportions for Western dress and look self-conscious all the time, in addition to speaking in a silly brand of Hinglish which is as badly phrased as it is spoken.
