A.Q Khan Uncle

NYT - & Discovery Channel showed a documentry on A.Q Khan & Iran titled as ’Nuclear Jihad’ - one could still view clips on NYT website .
I happened to meet A.Q Khan twice , once in Institute of Behaviour Sciences in Karachi & second time more closely when I get to talk to him for 20-25 minutes when he came to Karachi University some years back . A.Q Khan had always been my hero although I know for the fact that he took some perks from his position but that was a small price? about his plans to sell nuclear secrets ? my arse?
He is the real ’Mohsin’ of Pakistan - Yankes want him bad , the Iranians which could never be trusted stabbed Pakistan so did the Libyans - anyhow,
A.Q Khan spoke to me about my future plans? I replied I am preparing to give competitive exams or the civil services - AQ Khan said ’ don’t waste your talent - ’ he looked sad , he was weak by then - I ( the bad lad ) tried to make him smile about telling him about my girl friend and all the b.s university stories & he laughed - I remember when I called him ’Uncle’ he got very angry & told me if you say this again I will kill you (and he laughed ) - seeing the opportunity I said ’ Uncle Qadeer’ again in KU - he never talked to me again for 20 minutes -
when he was leaving I said sorry & he replied ’bachu you better be ’
I know it was very cheap of me !
