Cool down please and look at matters horizontally. Before you get angry, let me explain. You are comparing everything vertically and not horizontally. Look at people and events along with their own peers. You will feel diffeently and probably less angry and more depressed. :)

Babri Masjid and all the Hindu temples usurped by Muslims - I have always maintained that there was a far cheaper, more sensible, and more equitable solution. Move the Goddamned Babri Masjid elsewhere brick by brick and rebuild it brick by brick. Then construct the Ram Janami Mandir in the exact spot to honor him. We could call the Danes for their Leggo specialists, but then we ticked them off over the cartoon fiasco. :) Please, let’s do the same thing with all the buildings in dispute all over the world. My aim is to retain the historical buildings, avoid the bloodshed, and show some rational thinking. :) Maybe the same can happen in Spain, Greece, and Sicily where the mosques have been turned into churches.

Islam has killed more people in the name of religion, with the possible exception of Christianity - are we forgetting the Crusades, the wars of the reformation, the mini-crusades against the heretics (Albigensis, Cathars, and others?), the Reconquista, the colonization of the New World, Montezuma, Aztecs, Incas, and so on?

The most numerous people being killed by Muslims, as you pointed out, are Muslims - Iraq, Afghanistan, East Pakistan, Sudan, and so on. Do you think that most Muslims are proud of that? Most of us just hate this violence, hang our heads in shame, and pray to God for help. I, for one, do not wear uniforms when it comes to cheering for murderers or weeping for the victims. Sorry, I hate violence, by anybody on anybody. Yes, you are right - chullo bhair paani ...

As for Ghauri to Khilji to Babar... yes these were violent men from violent times. I detest their actions too - but then, remember the horizontal vs vertical? Yes, compare these killers to Genghiz, Godfrey de Bouillon, Richard the "Lion-Hearted," Hulagu Khan, Tamerlane, Selim the Grim, Count Vlad Dracul, Pizarro, Cortes, and others of their time.

As for your Muslim acquaintance, he can justify whatever is "Jaej" to him - just tell him that murder, kidnapping, theft, and rape are never JAIJ. :)
