Working in an organization which is revamping its system, shedding dead wood and trying to grow new leaves is not all that easy but the task is made all the more difficult by the inefficient staffers who the organization is trying to get rid of. I have just joined a similar organization. it has been around for the last 50 yers or so as an NGO with a measure of success but the last two decades as any other organization in the country it has gone to the dogs. Corruption, mental, moral and financial had become the bane of the extistence. The bosses have been too busy with their own agendas. The organization started going down.
I have just heard some incredible tales of corruption, vehicles going missing, minor jobs being outsourced to near and dear ones, massive projects only existing in the project progress reports etc. the end result is a terrible mess. Those of us who have just joined it with the intent of changing the culture of the organization are at our wits end in less than a month. The old guard is sniggering at us, enjoying our frustration.
