I am visiting Pakistan after almost 13 years. Heat is settling in the blood vessels like old rocks. Despite the air conditioning, and the celing fan, I am sweating and I must visit those who are less privileged in this city of the upstarts. In this neighborhood, a parcel of land (one canal) was sold for $70,000. Pizza sells for Rs. 700. Nothing is cheap except the local heat and the dust.
