i think so.

in my akhraot thread, manto wrote that he question’s molly’s decision to live with her father because of the father’s appearence:

"While I am scared for the choice the young lady has made for her.. given what her father looks like..."



funny thing is father in question has an appearence very similar to that of sattar edhi - probably the kindest man ever to live in pak. yet, if hypothetically speaking, edhi was the girl’s father, manto would question girl’s decision to live with him based on his appearence and without even inquiring whether molly’s live in gora dad was treating her properly.

once you attend manto/asma jehangir mindset, you will see why these people are held in so much contempt in pak and in the islamic world.
