In search of Birya’ni

Posted: Sep 15, 2006 Fri 11:18 pm     Views: 50

Yesterday, two of my colleagues & I wanted to have something different in luch than the usual daal cha’wal, koozi-haleem of lakshmi chowk. Friday ko office mein aanay wali birya’ni bhi biryani k naam pe dhabba hota hay. After mushkil se persuading the guy with the car, Biryani Express was decided. ’Garden town wali branch would be better’, according to them. We hoped to make it back to office with in the aik ghanta lunch break. took the risk because there was no pending or running activity.
made it to garden town, covering all the underpasses on nehar wali saRak. To our disappointment the last plate of biryani was just being served when we entered. According to the staff, the biryani from defence main brach is on the way which would take half an hour. Their half an hour meant 1 & half according to observation. So we thought to try the Cavalry branch after confirming that birYani iS available there. There was still sometime in lunch break. Soon we were there after facing little difficulty in locating the place. laiken wahan bhi biryani khattam ho gayee thee and just like the previous case, it was on the way from main branch in defence. None of us was ready to develop taste for something else. So had to go to defence wali branch and dartay dartay confirmed first if birYani was available. Yes, it was. Ordered for the three of us that took sometime. It tasted very good w.r.t to Rs.125 per person. Now, I am not sure if it was really tasty or then just tasted good because I was having luch at 5 PM. To confirm I would like to visit again, perhaps with Azure. so man, get your chuddi ready. :)

Later I wondered why all the maslaz in network occur when I am away and not when I am present, browsing Chowk & chatting all the time. :/

Today I am accompanying the maalik-e-makan to the wood-market, jahan bhi hay, so that we buy some stuff for the flat. Now I am 50/50 about the commitment I have made. I thought to gain some experience then... I hope, it’s not very hot outside.
