Strange attitudes

Posted: Dec 13, 2006 Wed 11:35 pm     Views: 45

I find it strange that some very educated people here in chowk use their ilogs not to express their view points, but rather to ridicule their rival country.

I don’t know how this serves anything. Does ridiculing the rival nation mean that my nation is better. I don’t think so. By ridiculing the rival, will our own problems end. No they won’t. Instead of ridiculing, we should be looking internally to find where we are wrong and correct those. Everyone has their own share of problems and we would better to tackle them rather than peep into someone else’s home.

A certain lady has her ilogs filled only with newspaper articles talking about the negatives in India. Then we have an Indian who will try to counter those by publishing negative reports about Pakistan. If that was not enough, this lady’s husband specialises himself in Gandhi bashing. If there ever was a conference on Gandhi bashing like the one being held in Tehran about the holocaust, this fellow would be heading the conference.

I find this attitude really strange and childish that my country is good only if the other is bad. Grow up guys, has all your expensive Yankee education only taught you this???

Anyway, With the marriage season in full swing in India, there has been no time to do anything except partying, drinking and merry making. With 2 of my cousins and 2 of my very close friends due to tie the knot this season, last two weeks have completely ruined my body system. With 2 weeks of late night partying and drinking, and then 10.00 am office daily, my system is under a lot of stress due to lack of sleep. I have to go on like this for another 4 days, and then there will be some relief till Mrs D and little Ms. D get back to Bombay from Rajasthan in the first week of next year.

Till then, cheers guys. Enjoy the season,

Rgds,

Devkant.
