Lahore - The Dubai of Pakistan, According to Yasser

Lahore, though a beautiful city has been compared to Dubai by Yasser. While I appreciate people loving their cities, what I do not appreciate is tall and unnecessary claims being made in order to win senseless arguements. It will a long way before Lahore can be compared to Dubai.

Also now Yasser will litter this space with a lot of stuff about Bombay and India. Thats the maximum he can do. Instead of having a proper debate and arguing his points in a civilised manner, he may either resort to mud slinging or not respond at all for the fear of being proven incorrect.

But before you post anything about Bombay and India, please understand that none of the Indians including myself think that India is perfect without any problems. We have not compared our cities to any major city in the world because we have a very long way to go for that.

LAHORE: During 2006, the city remained a target of vandalism, intimidation and a disorder mainly because of religious extremism and agitation by mullahs. Ban on Basant, strikes, contaminated water, traffic problems, motorcycle stunts, overcrowded prisons, and half-baked operations against encroachments and illegal buildings and problems related to private security agencies were the issues of the year. Citizens continued to complain about inflation and robberies were on the rise.
Vandalism, loot and plunder in the name of Islam made February 14 one of the worst days in the history of Lahore.
