So many things on the move everywhere in Pakistan. I must commend the govt. policy this time with respect to Waziristan. The british were the most popular among all, in governing that place, I guess. The reason being their golden rule, "divide & rule". Though the nation has been kept busy on other fronts like CJ’s case, Lal masjid & PK’s early exit from WC etc but even in their absence, I wouldn’t have expected an eyebrow raise. The army has finally admitted the tribals importance & managed to divide the foreighners & ’em. I am pretty sure they have been ’bought’. I just read that Army has finally joined the locals practically against the Uzbeks but I believe, they were there right from the very first day. Lets see what happens next when they getrid of the out-siders. Wonder what they will do to the tribals they are backing up now?

The Lal masjid case has become ’interesting’ too. I would like to know the locals’ opinion there about the lal masjid’s folk. One must not rely much on media. It doesn’t take much time in becoming zero from being a hero or vice versa in media.

Then there are folks criticizing Inzi’s boys offering ba’jumaat prayers. Where were they when the team was performing well?

& more power to Manto & Co. I loved their consistency. My strange mehsoosment powers (SMP) believe in the CJ-in-question being a better person & need of the hour. I wouldn’t mind overlooking his limited luxuries. It becomes a confusing situation really when I think about mush’s replacement. I would never like Nawaz, BB or the Mullahs in power again. They have had their chance, twice. I think that Imran Khan should be given a chance all by the logic of giving chances to every T,D & H. Though he also has yet to come up with solid something. He is having a hard time perhaps to survive even in PK politics, among all the Chaudries, Waderaz etc.

It would be fun if they include a NONE OF THE ABOVE choice in the ballot paper this time to attract more people to the polling stations.

Despite all of the above mess, it was lovely to attend a friend’s brother’s valima last night. The atmosphere was really cool & I loved the factor-of-safety taken care of with respect to number of guests. Normally, the wedding/valima functions turn out to be very crowded. The food was good though I missed tikkay. On the way to the friend’s place I came cross the NAMAK MANDI restuarent somewhere near or in cavalry. I must visit sometime to validate if they taste like the actual, peshawar’s one or not.
