And you thought money is everything!!!!

These lines are from "Princess" ...a book about a true story of a Saudi Princess ...here’s what she says about having toooo much money....

"Sadly, many of the royal cousins were swept away by the sudden rush of riches. My mother used to say that the Bedouin has survived the stark emptiness of the desert but we would never survive the enormous wealth of the oilfields. The quiet achievements of the mind & the pious religious beliefs of their fathers hold no appeal for the vast majority of the younger Al Sauds. I believe that the children of this generation have decayed with the ease of their lives, & that their great fortune has deprived them of any ambitions or real satisfactions. Surely the weakness of our monarchy in Saudi Arabia is bound up in our addiction to extravagance. I fear it will be our undoing.

As a result of this satisfaction of basic needs, the spark of life generated by material desire is hopelessly lacking in my land. Because of this, I despaired that the pages of history would ever turn in my land. We Saudis are too rich, too settled in our apathy for change."

Think about it....Pakistan may be poor but we have the drive, the potentia, the zeal to change ourselves....I am not talking about the political leaders...the comon man still has dreams in his eyesm hopes in his heart....

remember the "poles" in Orwell’s 1984???...the narrartor thought they were the only people who could bring change...yes dear... poverty does wonders....too much money kills the human in us
