Just as there is gamut of influences of Ram ,Geeta Mahabharat Brahma Vishnu Shiva Buddha AShoka and Even British you cannot deny that 1000 yers rule of Muslim left India as it is since 5000years b.c.Urdu is amalgm of arabic script with words from sanscrit to farsi to any number of indian languages.Urdu cannot be Islamic language only b/c it is not of any other muslim country like turkey Egypt ,etc.
I believe for all the reasons ...sikism which is only 400 yrs old ..did not take some of Islam ideas .Sikh proudly say that Guru govind visited Mecca.You are just as averse to the term islamic (lets call it mohommedan ,muslims or another term)as muslims are to term hindu.
