Moving on

Posted: Sep 22, 2007 Sat 10:27 pm     Views: 228    Interacts: 0

I hate losing friends, but it happens. People move on and for one reason or another the link is broken. It doesn't happen all at once, but over time the emails become less regular, and there is less sharing and feeling behind the messages that do get exchanged. Toward the end I am the one who initiates the twice-a-year emails and phone calls, and the replies are brief and somewhat impersonal. Well, I think I'll cherish what once existed, but its time to turn to the future and to reconnect with the friends I have left.
