We are neither happy, nor gay!!!

Suffering from the ‘foot in mouth’ disease, President Ahmadinejad has done it again, this time in front of some of the most intelligent young people. He was greeted with laughter and cries of disbelief, and rightly so, when he told students and staff at Columbia University: "In Iran, we don't have homosexuals. In Iran we don't have this phenomenon. I don't know who has told you we have it."
Since the Islamic revolution in Iran, there have been strenuous but not always successful efforts to bury this past. Of all the Muslim countries, Iran at the moment is probably the most active in persecuting gay people. This probably has less to do with religion than local political and cultural factors. Rumour has it that House of Raza Shah Pahlavi was overwhelmingly gay. His Prime minister was a homosexual man and even Shah was bi-sexual.
(For complete story, see
http://commentisfree.guardian.co.uk/brian_whitaker/2007/09/no_homosexuality_he re.html)

I have been to Iran and traveled all over the country by road (a total of 16 major cities). The number of metro sexual men in most Iranian cities is far higher than, let’s say, either Manchester or San Francisco (cities famous for their sizeable gay population). If the law of averages is to be applied and half of those hyper metro sexual men are gay, that’s a huge number.
The Arab and Persian literature is filled with homo erotic themes for centuries; calling it un natural or western is not only stupid but ignorant as well. It also leads one to wonder if this historic prevalence of homosexuality and homoeroticism in the Middle East responsible for historic exclusion of women from full participation in society, or vice versa?
He is taking the leaf out of Dr Paul Joseph Goebbels ( German politician and Minister for Public Enlightenment and Propaganda under Adolf Hitler) who said that if you lie convincingly and repeatedly, you eventually believe it and it goes away.

Tazeen,

As for the men who have problems with my posts, deal with it or dont read it. I am sure as hell not gonna debate with retards

This is the last resort of fools when they run out of argument ... nothing new :)

Go. You are forgiven. Come up with a little better next time than Karachi produces 70% of GDP or Iranians are 50% gay !!!

It was appropriate that Ahmedinejad's "we scared the gay out of 'em" comment was greeted with laughter by the audience. I did notice Ahmedinejad (or Frank as Bill Maher likes to call him) tapping his foot at times, as if he was a senator from Idaho, so maybe Frank needs to find Jesus and become born-again and then he will really be straight.

Tazeen Baji is another ZahraJ who was beaten back promptly and duly with sticks and stones ... and is now nowhere to be found. Their place is in their little rat holes trying to become 'white mice' !

Oh ... I must have indeed misread the following:

The number of metro sexual men in most Iranian cities is far higher than, let’s say, either Manchester or San Francisco (cities famous for their sizeable gay population). If the law of averages is to be applied and half of those hyper metro sexual men are gay, that’s a huge number.

But you say now "I have not said that they are gay, all i said was that they were hyper metro sexual men."

I thought you did say they were gay, or at-least 'half' of them were gay.

So pray tell what's the correct reading? Again, you're the resident gay & lesbians expert :)

I can understand the concept of metro sexuality. That is gaining popularity in all the major cities of the world. But I had no idea every metro sexual man is considered gay too. Can all those men who wax thier chest be called gay as well? :-P
Posted by Tazeen on Wednesday September 26, 2007 12:59 am
please read carefully, if you cannot read, get someone else to read it for you. I have not said that they are gay, all i said was that they were hyper metro sexual men. If you cannot distinguish between the two, thats your problem.
Posted by zeemax on Wednesday September 26, 2007 12:52 am
So you can tell from the manner of their dress and hairstyles that they're all gay?

Oh boy ... you must be quite an expert on the subject!
Posted by Tazeen on Wednesday September 26, 2007 12:49 am
Oh you have no idea how hyper metro they are.

I have a theory in this regard. As women are not allowed to show theie hair, men has taken to hair styling in extreme measures. You will find Irani men with long hair relaxed to death with perfectly manicured nails. A good 60% of the men have plucked their eye brows (and i saw that even in the more remote and smaller cities of Orumiyeh, Tabriz and Rasht) and wear outlandish clothes including belts with huge studded buckles and floral shirts in Fuschia and magenta.
Men in tehran have taken this to another extreme, in the central part of the city (Vali Asar Road), i encountered at least three to four men per day wearing the nose dressing one wears post rhinoplasty (the cosmetic surgery of nose), if this is not taking it to another level, than what is?????

Interesting you can tell apart "metro sexual men in most Iranian cities" when you see them. Are you into 'metro sexual men' (or vice-versa)? What part of Iran are you from? I mean they wouldn't exactly be walking around holding hands over there.

Tazeen,

at the risk of repeating myself, please allow me to share with you what really transpired. This "petty and cruel" crap is just same old same zionist propaganda.

Here is the transcript from what really transpired.

Bollinger: Ahmad, you are one pretty and cool dictator.

Ahmad: Thank you, you are not bad looking yourself, although you are president of coloumbia, a much smaller country.

Bollinger: Say, could we get hitched in Iran? I mean, I heard that it is difficult for homosexuals to get hitched over there?

Ahmad: Who told you that? We have no such issue with homosexuals. You wanna come over this weekend?
