Was fuer eine schoene Ueberasschung!

(Sorry, Chowkies. I just thought that since I occasionally see logs here in which I can't understand the language - though wishing I could - I thought I'd indulge in it myself just this once. Shouldn't happen again!)
Tomorrow is my Xth birthday (thank you, thank you) and yesterday I got one hell of a suprise. A bouquet of flowers via Interflora from a friend of 25 years (the age of the frienship - NOT his age!) in Munich - hence the title of this log. Especially surprising since it's the first time in my entire life that anyone has ever sent me flowers. Of course I'm delighted and flattered - I don't expect any other gifts. Trouble is, I don't have or have ever owned a vase. So they're now sitting in a plastic bucket on my piano. After tomorrow has been and gone I think I'll pass them on to the old(er) lady who lives in the flat below me. (I'll bet she has vases!)
Tomorrow, to 'celebrate' I plan to snuggle down with my 2 cats and a couple of fingers of double-brewed Lagavulin - no more than that, honestly - and relax to some Bach harpsichord music, probably the English Suites. Pure bliss!

Thanks, TS. Notwithstanding the implausibility of your entertaining suggestion, it has certainly tickled my imagination. :-)
