The flag

Posted: Nov 8, 2007 Thu 09:07 pm     Views: 301    Interacts: 7

Pakistan's flag in mourning over the imposition of State of Emergency.

Extending the logic of the original designers, as the forces of darkness and authoritarian, non-representative rule progress, the colours go out, the white shrinks (indicating the rights of the marginalised) and the crescent wanes back to a thin slice.

Hey did you listen to that idiot, Putin. He said Pakistan was the most dangerous country in Asia and not Iran. For a guy like him to chide Pakistan is crazy. What is this obsession with the 'most dangerous country in the world'? Pakistan right now is going through a tough, but self-evolving process that will ultimately, inshala, lead us to true or at least a better version of democracy. Putin -shut up!

Watched Jemima Goldsmith's interview today. Apparently, she is playing a very important role in co-ordinating the protests in London tomorrow. Also saw Hina Jillani on CNN. Wish I had BB's email address so that I could write to her, rather plead to her, to please kick Mush out. It really is shocking that when she has people like Sherry Rahman and Raza Rabbani around her, she is still playing a double role.

Did you see BB's face when she was 'protesting'. It was so obvious it was a farce. I think this also exposed the fact that the PPP is headed for a major thrashing at the polls in Punjab.
