Two more SC Judges take oath under PCO

ISLAMABAD: Two more Judges in the Supreme Court here have taken oath under PCO, making the total number of SC Judges to 11.

Lahore High Court's former Judge, Justice Muhammad Akhtar Shabbir and Sindh High Court's former Judge, Justice (R) Zia Pervaiz were included among those new Judges taken oath, which was administered by the Chief Justice of Pakistan, Mr. Justice Abdul Hameed Dogar.

Following the oath taking of the new Judges, the total number of SC Judges now tallies at 11. Earlier, the Judges having taken oath under PCO included: Chief Justice of Pakistan, Abdul Hameed Dogar, Justice Muhammad Nawaz Abbasi, Justice Faqir Muhammad Khokhar, Justice M. Javed Buttar, Justice Syed Saeed Ashaad, Justice Ijazul Hassan, Justice Muhammad Qaim Jan Khan, Justice Muhammad Moosa K Leghari and Justice Chaudhry Ijaz Yusuf. SC 4 new Judges belong to Punjab, 4 to Sindh, 2 to the Frontier and 1 to the province of Balochistan.
