Still here

Over a month since my last log, but I AM still here - and still keep up with Chowk regularly. Had a nasty experience recently. I'd thought that racialism was all but dead in England, apart from isolated geographical 'pockets' - but after a number of years had the first abuse directed at me on the street just because I happen to have a swarthy complexion. (I can only symapathise with those who are even darker-skinned than me, who may well be getting it as a daily occurence) I was just reading today of two Bollywood stars filming here who were recently similarly abused by a car-load of white youths. When will it end - if ever? Oh well,at least it makes a change from called an 'effing' poofter. Even though it's true, it's the hostility and hatred in the intention to insult that's the most difficult to bear.
