More humorous poetry, please.

Any chance of some enterprising Chowkies writing poems that put a smile on the face? - self-penned, I mean, not cribbed from elsewhere. So many offerings seem to be attempts at being profound - which is not bad in itself, but I would like to read something a bit different now and again. And speaking of poetry (written in English - I can't speak for submissions in Asian languages, unfortunately) it would be nice to have the occasional effort that both scans and rhymes rather than have so many which read like prose chopped into randomly delineated lines to 'look' like poetry. Not easy to do, I know, but I'm sure any attempts would be appreciated - if only for the sake of variety. (Now that I've thrown down the gauntlet, better see what I can come up with myself!)

I'll try - but there are already 2 of my efforts there - 'Limerick' & 'Back Pocket Blues'. Not brilliant, I know, but I'll start working on something else so please be patient.
