Musharaf's ethinic Bias

Posted: Dec 13, 2007 Thu 09:04 pm     Views: 196    Interacts: 0

This is with reference to the arrest of Baloch leaders Faiz Baloch and Hrbyair Marri in London on charges of inciting terrorism . These arrests have been made on request of Pakistani government. On grounds of justice and fairness i condemn this act of Pakistani government. The Baloch leaders fighting against the Federal Government are on the run or have been already eliminated . Baluchistan Liberation Army has been devastated . The military establishment has killed all the top Bugti and Marri leaders.Just a few days back the security forces killed the elder son of Nawab Marri Therefore why cant the government allow the exiled Baloch chieftains sitting in London to live in peace ? Why is the government determined to over-kill??

Ironically this episode displays amply President Musharaf's hypcrisy. There are other Pakistani leaders who have been residing in London,UK for more than a decade and are accused of grave charges of inciting violence and of having links with foreign powers. I am talking about the top leadership of MQM. It has been accuused of complicity in the murders of eminent pakistanis like Hakim Saeed and beuracrat Shahid Hamid. Why then there should be one set of laws for Baloch leaders and one set of laws for politcal allies?

The cold hard fact is that General (retd) musharaf is a hardnosed biased urduspeaker whose primary loyalties lay less with that of pakistan and more with economic and political interests of his community . Altaf Hussain has openly termed Pakistan a blunder in New Delhi . The army has complete proofs of his ties with India . His party or terrorist mafia is responsible for murders of humdreds of innocent civilians and security personnel . But because he is a fellow urduspeakers, all crimes are forgiven while baloch leaders are killed and and hounded for far lesser crimes.
