Acting human & calling others animals

Posted: Dec 21, 2007 Fri 09:17 am     Views: 245    Interacts: 1

Jang,
After a very long time, some genuine words of wisdom which which I can identiy and totally agree. (T)

As you said, we humans love to state "no human being would do this." and "inhumane behavior," etc. The truth is that human behavior is somewhat less exemplary than most animal behavior. We eat the animals that don't eat us. We respect and even protect the animals that would eat us. 8-|

Perhaps if we "noble" humans started to treat animals a little better than we treat ourselves, we might actually improve on our obviously inhumane behavior with each other.

Muslims blow up themselves and everybody else while preaching that Islam means peace (and hopefully lack of noises such as bomb blasts. Muslims mistreat women and children, while bragging about how the Holy Prophet (PBUH) considered protection of women and children above all. Muslims discriminate against so-called Kaffirs with disdain, while the Holy Prophet (PBUH) went out of his way to find them and show them affection. 8-|)

Hindus pontificate about nonviolence, sanctity of ALL life, and disdain for blood and meat, yet right-wing Hindutva BJP/RSS/VHP/JS/BD/SS videotape mass murder, rape, aron, and mutilation of fellow human beings who are either born too low or born totally outside the totem pole. 8-|

Christians kill in the name of Jesus, the man who never killed anyone. Christians torture others while Jesus was himself tortured on the cross. Christians have hated Jews, discriminated against Jews, and killed Jews, while knowing that Jesus was a Jew. Christians love Jesus for his compassion and yet have instituted more horros with the Inquisition, the Crusades, Exploration, Genocide, and Colonialism.

Jews are ostensbily the Chosen People of God and have often used that as a license to treat others as subhuman, undeserving of compassion, and worthy of justice. The life of one Jew is worth the lives of many many hundreds of non-Jews, especially their own cousins, the Arabs. B) A Jew, born in Russia, whose ancestors never lived in Palestine, can get automatic Israeli citizenship, while Arabs, born and living in Palestine for thousands of years, are routinely expelled and not allowed back - all in the name of Judaism. 8-|

I can say more about Sikhs, Buddhists, Mormons, and others but let's concentrate on the low-hanging fruit. (T)

Well said! This article crystallises many of the conclusions I've come to myself - and not because others have told me that I MUST or SHOULD think them but through my own observations and reflection, though it hardly needs an exceptional intellect to see the sense of what you say.
