The Day After Fixing the Election..umm Date

Posted: Jan 3, 2008 Thu 12:03 am     Views: 408    Interacts: 3

After announcement of Feb 18th as the new Election date and subsequent press conferences by Zardari(of the Scaaatlaand Yard fame)a general feeling of relief is passing through Karachi.

Perhaps the best indicator of the feelings of the populace is the stock index which is right now at a roof busting 615 points positive after the bloodbath of the recent three days.

In effect Musharraf's calm speech was the opposite polar end of Zardaris rant. Which must have restored most of the nations and the international puppeteers faith in the Great General.

Hopefully things will get better as th day and those following roll on. However what will take the most time to heal are the scars of the common man. Those who's shops were looted, cars burnt, warehouses emptied, the class who lost their daily wages and last but not the least the Industrialists who's factories were attacked and burnt.

Is there anyone to answer for the cries of these people?
IMO most of the PPP would be now questioning their decision to support and post Lord Voldermort to the Co Chairmens slot. He has just lost his party a whole lot of credibility!!!

I welcomed you to pakpositive, if am not forgetting, and again I welcome you to this world of chowk coz I haven't come across much of you over here...
The remark below is a norm over here coz the freedom of speech sometimes gets pathetic at chowk. It is a world where you would come across remarks stretching beyond the limits of decent talk...anyways...have a great time on chowk...
