The New slave

Posted: Feb 13, 2008 Wed 09:35 pm     Views: 414    Interacts: 0

In the USA the slave labor comes in the form of illegal immigrants, call them what you want, this labor class will work for a smaller price and will do hard labor to support the folks at home. Now one would think that an influx of cheap labor would be welcomed by the rich Americans eager to exploit the poor. But as it turns out the racism involved in having such underclass in the community is greater than the benefit of cheap labor. And so we have a war on terror, a war on drugs and now a war on illegal immigrants. This will soon become a political force and will affect the upcoming election. Yes the politics of hope and inspiration may find itself fighting with slavery once again. This is what makes this election historic. For once the United States can show the world that the people here are not interested in the politics of racism, and will not use the border security issue to discriminate against the poor. Or we will discover that hope and inspiration are just buzz words, the reality is to keep our fists clenched and remember that in this little lifeboat called USA only the fittest survive. The rest will be slowly kicked out. (Not!)
