sahar ke anay se pehle, piaray badal gaye
chalay the sab he, le ke sath zaad e safar
rah jo dikhatay the, wo sitaary badal gaye
hawa ka rukh theek, bahao ka be saath tha
utray to tab pata chala, kinaray badal gaye
bekhudi to thee, umeed aur yaqeen be tha
nasheb anay se pehlay, saharay badal gaye
tere rukh badalaty he, raqib be badal gaye
jalnay ki hoi arzoo, to angaaray badal gaye
shehar sada se qaid the, fasil ke hisar main
jo sir utha lete the, wo minaray badal gaye
