The Discovered World

Posted: May 23, 2008 Fri 04:21 pm     Views: 251    Interacts: 1

I live in the West,
The happening world
I am going to travel
To exotic places,
In search for sun and fun
As the world
Around me falls,
Not interested,
It’s not of my creation
I am going to listen
To music,
As these chords mix
To create the sound
In search for peace and comfort
I am going to adapt
New habits,
Odd and strange;
Simple and easy
For experimentation
In search for peace and comfort
I will continue this routine,
For years in its variations
Until one day, I am brought
To these islands, in hiding
Precious and silent, too sacred
In search for peace and comfort

I live in the East
The forgotten world
I am going to read
Great books,
Of wisdom and knowledge
Words full of magic & splendor
In search for peace and comfort
Like the old debris hitting us,
Amongst them,
I find myself
As turns into reality,
These dreams, one day
I have this peace
Within me,
Unnoticed
Precious and silent,
too scared
To be looked inside,
Remains in there
Untapped, like the old wisdom
The old fruits,
Still to reach this modern world
e forgotten World

I live in the West,
The happening world
Discovered we have;
These islands
Peaceful and sacred
I live in the East,
The forgotten world
I beg to differ
With your discovered world
Still hidden in us,
Those islands
As we are killed,
As we are buried
In those sacred islands,
The ones you found
For your peace,
For your comfort!

Alas! our enchanting hills and beautiful valleys are entangled by wars and terror. Hope for peace to prevail by the time you'd land here this time around.
A very nice poem!
