This Is The Time , This Is The March

This Is The Time

No more excuses, no more refusals
No more denials, no more delays
No more fun, no more plays
On the road
Together we go
Go, go…and march ahead
This is the time
We were longing for
This is the march
We are making for

Together we are
Together we say
This is the march
For justice per say

This is the march
To uphold the vision
Of Iqbal and Jinnah
Faiz, Jalib’s aspiration

This is the time
To bring the change
This is the war
Against “Softer Image”

This is the time
To begin a wonder
Do not fret or fumble,
Or try to surrender
This is the time
To put forth the demand
The ‘just’ should rule and
Sent “Majesty” to remand

This is the time
That requires solidarity
To forget the past
Grievances governments
Mal policies and actions
And slogans of ethnicity

This is the fight
Against rich and famous
The one percent elites,
Politicians so bogus
Who trap and conspire
They harp higher to ‘Sire’
“These lawyers, these people
‘O’, majesty!
They are horde of fools!
Their march is unpopular
Their rallies so…Un-Cool
Just a bunch of common
Uncivilized, Illiterates
They can’t read and write a single word
And they say they think ‘Democracy’
Is their right, their justified accord?
Sure ‘Sir’ you are their only savior
Rest all is bunch of crap
This movement is doomed
For embarrassment and ridicule

But my fellow Pakis’ my nation
This is the time
Of ‘Now or Never’
To put the Genie of corruption
Back into the bottle

This is the time. This is the March
My dear common citizens
This is the endeavor
The last resort
To rebuild our nation
To re-strengthen the state of
The deteriorated ‘Institutions’
This is the Time
To liberate ‘Judiciary’ and restore
The ‘Pre third November-07’ constitution

This is the Time,
This is the March
To modulate, to create
A new Pakistan for
Future generation
This is the ‘Long March’
Towards PEACE and Our SALVATION

I think we are living in euphoria or perhaps have become hysteric. Mr. Chaudhry / CM supported and provided seal of authenticity to all illegal actions of Musharaff from 1999 -2006. He acted like his hitman from judiciary bench when he was blocking every single legal action in courts against Musharaff. Now, when he was fired he became champion of Justice. Won't he support another tyrant for a better reward? Another champion of freedom, Jamat e Islami has been a B team for every Martial law in this country. For 2 provincial governaments they supported Musharaff and passed constitutional amendment. When Musharaff called Qazi an unstable person, he went out to settle personal scores. Third champion of Democracy, Imran Khan was supporting Musharaff in a hope of becoming Prime Minister. In vain he has become a loud speaker now though never justify his own actions. Fourth and the best is Zardari. This man was known as Mr. 10 percent for a reason. Every single international/ unbiased court he was tried in, he lost. Weather its Switzerland court or London court. Spainsh courts refused to drop his cases due to substantial evidence. No wonder he accepted the disgrace of NRO which is nothing but amnesty for criminals who can not face courts. Last but not the least is Mr. Nawaz Sharif. He is a product of a brutal Martial Law. He has the honor of attacking Supreme Court. He never let Benazir complete her term and always was part of a conspiracy to bring her governaments down with illegal army support. He also has the honor to creat Shawnisnm and racism in Punjab which haunt our contry in coming years. Just to outcast Bhutto name from Punjab when he was shouting " Jag Punjabi Jag, theri Pug nu lag ge aag" he was alineating the rest of the country. This has created such a rift in our nation that we are seeing Baluchistan at the verge of seperation, NWFP openly asking to be name Puktoonistan and Sind is becoming more indifferent every passing year.

These are the leader who will lead us on path of Democracy, Justice and prosperity?? What does their record tell us? I don't support Musharaff for his illegal actions. But how do these leaders are better than him. In their time they never did any good for people of Pakistan either. I can not believe that a nation of 170 million people is so infertile that it can not produce one more Muhammed Ali Jinnah. Unless we won't dismiss them for their record how can another Muhammed Ali Jinnah will emerge?

Pak sir zameen shad bad
Kishware huseen shad bad
Kahan giya husn-e-watan
Kahan hein woh lalo saman
Sub raakh ho giyay is aag mein
Na dil bacha na tan badan
Kia dhondhna is raakh mein
Kis ab milay ga is khak mein
Jo ham safar thay woh bewafa
Jo rahnama thay woh rahazan

May your poem inspire many to do their little (or big) part in restoring the sense of civility in our society that has been so depressingly lost. I only hope that I may still be able to hope.
How nice it will be if someone can translate it in Urdu so it may be add its music to the street ‘song’ being sung at this historical moment of our nation’s history.
It truly is NOW or NEVER moment ... and NEVER is so dreadfully terrifying.

Thanks every one for ur encouraging remarks. If democracy means majority rules then it is the time for age old democratic ruling part PPP to make a shift. Listen to the voice of people. 'V' for Long March

Powerful in-your-face kind of stuff Nikhat!

@zeemax, here's a contorted version by some anonymous poet:

sabaq phir paRh khabaasat ka, zalaalat ka, nadaamat ka
liya jaaey ga tujh se kaam phir aala vizaarat ka!

:)

Frighteningly forceful!……as if it comes straight from your heart.
The message is clear and the tone persuasive.Let's pray together for peace and salvation.

Very powerful, charging and captivating words..

We pray from the core of our hearts that Almighty may send unseen helpers for these true souls and He may restore our dignity.

Devil, his cunningly woven webs and clever plans may crumble.
