The executive foreign editor of the Daily Telegraph, Con Coughlin is never far away from the latest Bush government disinformation campaign. This is his latest:
Iran has resumed A-bomb project, says West. 07/07/2008. Daily Telegraph. (He doesn't cite a single named source in the whole column)
His blog has many similar entries such as "Iran diplomacy has reached a watershed", "EU is right not to appease Iran", etc.
Other past works:
Iran 'is training the next al-Qa'eda leaders'. 15/11/2006. Daily Telegraph.
Does this link Saddam to 9/11? 13/12/2003. Daily Telegraph. I love this paragraph:
"For anyone attempting to find evidence to justify the war in Iraq, the discovery of a document that directly links Mohammed Atta, the al-Qaeda mastermind of the September 11 attacks, with the Baghdad training camp of Abu Nidal, the infamous Palestinian terrorist, appears almost too good to be true."
He openly admits that the decision to support the war preceded the justification for it. What a way to build an empire: on the barely believable lies of morons.
