When you call it a necessity of 'modern life' you move it away from the realm of personal to a more universal phenomenon. I understand modern life and I understand modern people living in it--I am one too--but on a personal basis, it is hard to digest. Especially from someone who has been so adamant that the one thing he can't tolerate is lies. For that person to not only lie to me--he might think i deserve it--but to lie needlessly to others who are a very close part of their past is a hard blow.
No one is a saint, I know it. I'm not. But then people shouldn't pretend to be saints either.
