I've often wondered whether any research has been done into why individually we find the smell of our own farts attractive enough to savour whereas the fart smells of ALL others are foul and repellant. Although (in my humble experience) this doesn't always apply in the case of body smells due to perspiration, though that CAN be the case, I suppose halitosis in others is also a case where it is always repellant, though there I don't think anyone with foul-smelling breath is aware of it unless told or finds out by auto-testing e.g. by licking back of one's hand, waiting a FULL 5 seconds, then sniffing it. Just wondering.
