My fried A succumbed to injusries yesterday after being shot by one of the terrirists at the Oberoi in Mumbai. I worked with him at a bank in New York 10 yrs ago. An affable man, quick witted, who loved to travel,play basketball and had a zest for lifer, lost his life at the hands of scum who had no respect for life itself.

I sopke to him on monday...asked him how his visit was going. He mentioned all the excitement and the rush of mumbai. He talked about going shopping for antique Indian haveli doors that he wanted to turn into tables.

his parents in connecticut called and are organizing the funeral on tuesday.

I lost two good friends on 9/11 and now another...

How can one feel any sympathy or justify attacks like these. We just have to fight the battle...because to find excuses would be to give in to this depravity.
