It was the midnight of February 18, 2007 when the sound of the twin blasts, that shook the two coaches of Samjhauta Express, echoed across the Indian city of Panipat. “Samjhauta meaning compromise was the name given to a twice-weekly train service connecting Delhi and Lahore to boast up the peace process between the two states sharing a conflict-ridden relationship since 1947. But the process was hampered and the index fingers of the Indian politicians were raised at Pakistan. The blame game started. Islamic militants from Pakistan were alleged for the chaos ignoring the fact that majority killed in the blast were Pakistani nationals. Later investigations revealed the involvement of Lieutenant Colonel Prasad Shrikant Purohit and a sadhvi Pragya Singh Thakur. India said it would share with Pakistan the further investigations but so far nothing new has been shared. Either Pakistan never demanded any explanation or India never thought it important to share the information with Pakistan. Unlike Pakistan India has always been very smart to use a huge lot of resources on propaganda purposes directly throughout the world.
Evidences of Hindu extremism and planned riots are evident in “democratic and “secular India. The examples of Christian killings, anti-Sikh riots, 2002 Gujarat violence, Capture of Kashmir prove Hindu fundamentalism. But they are intelligent enough to put all the blame on Pakistani militants and naming it as Muslim extremism. Unfortunately Pakistani government doest not have the same art of defending. The clear example is that of Rehman Malik’s acceptance, stating that part of conspiracy behind the Mumbai attacks was planned in Pakistan and six persons have been arrested. Malik said that some of those individuals were Lashkar e Taiba operative, who was clearly under immense international pressure to crackdown on the LeT and its frontal Jammat ud Dawwah. An attack of this nature can not be thrown by a bunch of Pakistanis. It requires planning, training and a support network to aid the fighters. Nothing could have been done without internal support. The Indian claim that terrorists traveled via sea from Karachi to Mumbai seems illogical as it raises questions over Indian Navy and security system. Even outside the biggest hotels there was no proper security system to encounter the fighters. More than anything that tragic incident was a security lapse which was evident from the resignation of Indian Security Chief, Shivraj Patil. The Indian government is fully aware of internal problems. The suppression and oppression of minorities has often resulted in chaos. It can be a case of similar circumstances.
India always prides itself on being a democracy. It is high time that we raise our voices and show the world the other side the coin instead of supporting the false accusations

Pak navy chief retracts statement on Kasab
28 Feb 2009,
KARACHI: Distancing himself from the controversy over his remarks that there was no evidence of Ajmal Amir Kasab taking the sea route to India to
launch terror strikes, Pakistan's navy chief on Saturday said he had not contradicted interior ministry's findings on Mumbai attacks.
Admiral Noman Bashir said there were no differences between the navy and the interior ministry on the investigation into Kasab's role in the Mumbai attacks.
Bashir, the brother of foreign secretary Salman Bashir, sparked a controversy on Friday by saying that there is no evidence that Kasab travelled from Pakistan to India by sea.
His remarks were the latest in the edition of a series of flip flops by Pakistan over the Mumbai attacks probe.
Bashir reiterated on Saturday that he did not have any evidence to suggest that Kasab had reached India via Pakistani waters but added that this did not mean he was going against the interior ministry's findings.
The Pakistan navy is not investigating the Mumbai incident and it is possible the interior ministry has evidence which he had not come across, Bashir told reporters on the sidelines of a function at the Karachi Shipyard.
"We have not been directly involved in the investigation, which is under the domain of the Interior Ministry. Therefore they are better equipped, they have better knowledge and information," he said.
Bashir also said that he had not contradicted interior ministry's findings in the probe into the attacks and Kasab's role in the incident.
"According to the information with me as of now, it is not proved that Ajmal Kasab travelled from here in a boat. We can look into this issue after we get more evidence," Bashir had said at a news conference on Friday.
When it was pointed out that interior ministry chief Rehman Malik had said that terrorists travelled from Pakistan to Indian waters in boats and these vessels had been found by Pakistani investigators, Bashir had said the navy had no evidence in this regard.
Interior Ministry chief Rehman Malik had admitted on Feb 12, when Pakistan gave its response to Indian dossier, that the Mumbai attacks were "partly" plotted on Pakistan soil and launched from its shores for which it has arrested six persons.
Malik had disclosed that Pakistani investigators had located three vessels used by the terrorists.
Bashir had also questioned why India's Coast Guard and navy had not detected Kasab and the other terrorists if they had reached Mumbai by sea.
IF NAVY ISNOT INVESTIGATING ,WHAT MADE HIM TO COMMENT IN THE FIRST PLACE,ONLY TO RETRACT LATER???INDIA,S SCURITY LAPSES DOES NOT MEAN PAK STATE/NON STATE ACTORS HAVE LICENSE TO SEND TERRORISTS
yes it does raise questions about coast guard &navy, but not illogical.inflatible boat by which terrorists did their last 10km journey is in mumbai police custody.boat maker caterpillar says that boat was sold thru karachi dealer.only captured terrorist ajmal kasab says he travelled from karachi to mumbai
Even outside the biggest hotels there was no proper security system to encounter terrorists
please visit any five star hotel in pakistan and observe security system
mumbai hotels did have luggage screening machines of all guests. But will terrorist subject themselves to these machines??AK-47 guards can not be kept in a hotel as hospitality and security do not go hand in hand
Actually sara you are too young and naive even to comment on such matters
