The Old Lament -- The Writers Block

Posted: Apr 15, 2009 Wed 09:04 pm     Views: 253    Interacts: 7

Boundaries appear
and great walls stand tall
all around my thoughts
to confine me within
a certain limit
which I cannot cross
to prey on words
and feed the white sheets
for my survival

Unable to fetch
fresher signs of life
I'll keep munching on
the cliched thoughts,
scribbling the old lament --
the writers block,
hoping for the walls
to crumble, waiting
for a lot of new stock
to write till the end.

Keep trying, thinking and exploring. The walls would crumble hopefully.

Yes, you've scored a bullseye there - especially interesting since the subject matter you've chosen self-evidently does not apply to the body of this piece.

A nice depiction of the writer block situation.
