South Africa gone. Chokers . Are they ?
Another one bites the dust ! Who’s the next in line ?
Sri Lanka or West Indies ?
If we go by the track record, consistency and discipline there is no match for Sri Lanka_ A much balanced team with specialists like Jay Surriya and Murlee. They are no bits and pieces side but everyone with a specific role and contribution to make. Not an easy opposition by any means and arguably the most formidable surviving team of the championship.
But Windies are unpredictable. Perhaps most unpredictable and would even beat Pakistan on that count. They are lethal. A force to be reckoned with. Those who write them off or consider them underdogs may be in for a big surprise.
The typical format of 20 20 goes well with their vivacious and rather brutal, rampant and unbridled approach towards the game. Once they unleash themselves and are allowed to go unabated they are capable of seizing the initiative even before one realizes.
When they take on WI, it would definitely be in the back of Sri Lankan minds, the way they tormented and mesmerized the Aussies away.
Well while the track record and my mind says Sri Lanka but my heart…..who knows?
So where are you going to put your money today?
Regardless of the winner, we are hopefully all set to witness another great game. Meanwhile, let’s bid farewell to South Africa, the last casualty so far.

May the best team win today. And let's keep cheering for Pakistan.

It is just 1% that turns things round dude. I gave the same 1% to Pakistan yesterday; today it is Windies. You never know.
Talking of cricket, we do have a history of passion overpowering common sense more often than not. India in 83. Pakistan in 92 and then Sri Lanka.
Lets hope whoever wins today, wins her last match in the tournament :p
