Harpoons, Harpoons!

Posted: Aug 31, 2009 Mon 07:31 pm     Views: 171    Interacts: 7

Malick Sahib,
Thank you for presenting this interesting and rather mysterious "leak" about yet another developing "fact" concerning the "progress" made by yet another "Muslim" nation.

As a very young student, I had no confidence in the constant "leaks" concerning Pakistan's evolving nuclear capabilities based on plagiarism and outright theft. But then, everyone, including Americans, Indians, and doubting Pakistanis like me, were all astounded by the results of the earth shattering events of 1998.

As to the matter of harpoons, since when did Pakistan become a whaling nation? I have never heard of Orca kababs.

mule...
tribals in India are realy most backward segment...they need attention.....but they are happy with the way they are, unless they are restricted to access the resources in jungle...
muslas don't lack access to education etc...as they live mostly in cities or villages closed to cities...it is the muslaism, which kept them backward.....

#59, Riaz Sahib,
Hollywood has been successfully creating, defining, redefining, and destroying images for almost ninety years. Some really loud music and speeding up boring scenes of effort can result in unmatched and sudden success. Bollywood, after all, is a very successful imitation of the real mirage. LOL

#50 Riaz Sahib,
The problem with Pakistanis and other Muslims is that we don't understand how India really measures its own standards of health, nutrition, and welfare. You see, while Dalits and Muslims do count in bragging about the 1.1 billion population, they have no place in India Shining, which is restricted to the progress and well-being of the high-born. Once you discount the 400 - 500 million of the wretched ones, the statistics for India Shining do indeed look better for the fortunate ones who really count. Have you seen Slumdog?

Riaz Haq: Reason: Pakistanis consume 25 Kg of sugar per person versus India's 20Kg.

{"Nonsense, crude averages mean nothing especially when a country is so impoverished as Pakistan, the few that consume the most skew the average... "}

TNITC Sahib,
You are a better comedian than I. :)
Indians, saddled with the well-established totem pole culminating in untouchability, with its inherent concept of injustice, inequality, and inhumane treatment, are going to talk about the privileged in Pakistan skewing the average. LOL

BTW, Why are Chinese soldiers flying their helicopters over Ladakh and dropping food? I wonder if they have heard about severe malnutrition among Indians?

Re: # 43
{"Coming a week before the US senate takes it up, this NY Times harpoon is aimed at US aid bill to Pakistan, not any marine life."}

Riaz Sahib,
By now, we are all aware and well-prepared for the synchronized "leaks," from well-placed anonymous yet reliable and knowledgable "sources," who always seem to search and find willing "journalists" ready to print such crap as "news." We should all be grateful to Dubya and his brilliant court of neo-cons for this utter degradation in American journalism.

While I am not amused by the senseless arms race and the wasted billions BY BOTH SIDES, it gives me a perverted sense of gratification to see little Pakistan's threats become such obvious rusty blemishes in Shining India's blinding facade.
