Setting Up A New Site
Dear all,
After hearing about censorship at sites such as Dawn.com, and the chaos currently prevailing at chowk.com - I believe we need another platform.
1. Freedom of Speech is the Basis of this new website
2. You can say anything you want - from preaching the wearing of burqah for all to advocating for nudist beaches in every country - as long as you do it respectfully and peacefully. Remember, it is your OPINION, not a FACT - as far as other people are concerned.
3. Anyone preaching violence will not be tolerated and will be barred.
Now, all we need is a good name! I was thinking of salaam.com, but that does not do justice to the south asian nature of the website. Also, it needs to incorporate that the site is there to foster peace by allowing freedom of speech and tolerance.

But this sort of website needs a team of people - get the hint guys???!!!:)
BTW how will this site be different than chowk? if there is chaos on chowk, how will it be prevented on the new site?
If you asked those who own the media today, they might want: www.shalom-shalom.com
If I had my way, it would be: www.un-chowk.com
As for 'You can say anything you want', it sounds very Mrikan and shows that the website will not have a brain of its own!
