Qatar Airways to switch to natural gas fuel by 2012!


Qatar Airways will move to natural gas to power its planes from 2012 following its successful first flight from Doha to London using the fuel.

However, the interesting thing to note is that the fuel (used in the trial) was a mixture of 50% derived from natural gas and the rest was classical oil derived kerosene (higher calorific value). Don't you just love them marketing types? :)

During winters all Qatar aircrafts stopping to refuel in Pakistan will be stranded due to gas loadshedding - CAA will make tons from parking fees and Pakistan will become richer. Zardari will use this money to get another teeth transplant, dazzling her into hugging him without asking.
